Howlin' For You

I'm really in love with dynamic songs at the moment. To summarize, songs that are not Call Me Maybe. So I made a playlist of a bunch of songs that I felt were worthy enough for the title "dynamic". The first one here is called Howlin' For You by The Black Keys. I am playing this song in a band at the moment. I really love the base line--listen closely, you'll hear it. It kind of reminded me of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes, another duo, but it is, of course, quite different. Here is is (with lyrics):

The next one is Secrets by OneRepublic. This song was actually very popular for a while last year. What I adore about this song is, obviously, the violins. There are some songs that you listen to and have a tune that is just so memorable. I always wonder how they came up with this genius violin part!

And last but not least, Abraham's Daughter by Arcade Fire. This song was made for the Hunger Games movie, but it really seems like so much more than that. I am so loyal to songs made for a movie soundtrack that don't sound like they were written specially for anything.
